The staff is amiable here, the services are terrific, and location is excellent not far from the city center and many beautiful places such as national museum and opera hall, and Ararat mountains. The restaurant serves appetising Indian food. Think that this absolutely great hotel is beyond compare, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nice hotel with a quiet atmosphere
Very accessible area with supermarkets, shops, and restaurants nearby. Cozy room with a view of Mount Ararat. *I tailored the positive sentences to give the review a more natural flow and everyday language.

I enjoyed my stay at Shirak Hotel. My room, if not fancy, was clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the balcony with a view of Mt. Ararat and many sights of Yerevan. The location is excellent -- a short walk to Republic Square. Small shops nearby supply any need. The breakfast was most ample, offering a wide variety of tasty dishes. I think Shirak offers a good value.
I didn't like the fact that the room payment must be made in cash (dollars or drams) and I wasn't informed of this important feature until I was checking out. I was also disappointed that the hotel telephones, including the one in my room, were unable to connect with local cell phones. Cell phones are widely used in Armenia and are a most common means of contact. This made it difficult for me to reach colleagues. The phone did work to reach other landlines.
